2. New Business:
As many of you know, Hope in Springfield has reached out to us to build a shared ministry. The primary component of this shared ministry is having Pastor Joe serve both congregations with his role at Hope becoming that of a called part-time Pastor.
Beyond sharing a Pastor, we also plan for the relationship to eventually include a shared vision and support for Christian education, Lay Minister/Elders, and evangelism.
Before this agreement is formalized, the task force made up of Hope and Grace members is proposing a 3 month trial period to see how Pastor’s time can be best utilized between our congregations. Hope is not issuing a call at this time.
