Daily Lectionary Study

Throughout her history, the Christian Church has followed a lectionary. This means that for each Sunday of the Church year, there are four appointed Scripture readings that are read during the Divine Service: an Old Testament reading, a Psalm, an epistle reading, and a Gospel reading. The pastor normally preaches on one of the appointed texts. This lectionary serves to lead the congregation through the entire narrative of God's Word over the course of the Church year. Each Sunday, Grace Lutheran Church provides a bulletin insert to better aid worshippers in preparing for the coming Sunday's readings and Divine Service. Download the inserts below to aid your preparation for Divine Service.
